Trail Riding
NOTICE: Trails close annually for the Missouri Department of Conservation hunting program to prevent Chronic Wasting Disease. Equestrian season extends from March 1 to October 5, 2025. Please see below for registration information.
The Riding Trails at Valles Mines span 16 miles, offering paths wide enough in some sections to ride side-by-side for miles. These trails guide riders through breathtaking landscapes, including wooded forests, spring-fed creeks, and serene ponds. They also trace gravel railroad beds leading to the historic and "haunted" tunnel. Convenient parking is available.

RATES:
Seasonal Pass – $200 per person. Download Seasonal Permit Application.
Late applicants can request a pro-rated pass (July - Oct 5 $90.00 per rider). For details email VMCoutdoors@gmail.com.
Payment - You can either mail us a check or Venmo the money to VMCoutdoors@gmail.com.
Daily Guest Permit – $20.00 per rider per day. (must be accompanied by Season Pass Holder). Download Guest Pass Application.
To ride with a companion, please download the guest permit above and email it, along with a copy of the Coggins test to VMCoutdoors@gmail.com. You can then either mail us a check for $20 or Venmo the money to VMCoutdoors@gmail.com.
Equestrian permits do NOT allow game hunting or fishing. Equestrian trails are closed during Fall Hunting Season (October 10 - March 1). Gates open at noon during Spring Turkey Hunting Season (April 21 - May 11, 2025). Contact the Missouri Department of Conservation for rules and regulations.
